 PARENTING   COORDINATOR ORLANDO FLORIDA

Parenting Coordination is a newly emerging area of practice for professionals. A parenting coordinator typically helps high conflict parenting partners to implement their parenting plan by facilitating the resolution of disputes between parents and/or legal guardians, providing education, making recommendations to the parties. In some cases, parenting coordinators will asist the  parentsto develop a parenting plan.

What is the Parenting Coordination (PC) program ?

Parent Coordination is an Alternative Dispute Resolution process designed to help parents support and parent their children before, during or after separation, divorce or non-marital relationship. It is a process through which parents work together to identify key issues that directly or indirectly impact their children and with the help of a Parent Coordinator, work together to identify the best way to develop a positive parenting plan and create a positive environment for the children.

The PC works directly and openly with both parents to help them communicate more effectively and to try and avoid and/or quickly resolve conflicts around child-related issues that come up. In many of the “high conflict” divorces and child custody cases, guardian ad litems and/or PC’s have been used by the Court, because of the seemingly endless number of court appearances it takes to resolve minor issues which uses up the resources of the Court and the parties. Many of the issues center on child-related issues, including visitation and access to information about a child's medical problems or school issues.
