WHAT IS FORECLOSURE?
Foreclosure is the process a lender/servicer uses to repossess your home. Once you receive notice that your lender/servicer has filed a mortgage foreclosure lawsuit, you could lose your home in 3-6 months. Immediate action on your part may prevent foreclosure.
The Goal of the mediation process is that the lender will be able to collect back payments, and the homeowner is able to negotiate a realistic mortgage payment plan based on the current living conditions to prevent the homeowner from defaulting again in the future
RM&A Inc's Presuit Foreclosure Mediation Services Process
- Once you have contacted our office the case manager will proceed with the process of making arrangements for a mediation conference, by contacting all parties of concern. (i.e. mortgage lenders, financial institutions).
- Once all concerned parties have accepted and agreed to convene, the case manager sends out notifications to all parties. The notifications provide information with regards to the time,date and place of the conference and the fees.
- The case manger notifies the selected mediator(s) of the parties agreement and confirms the conference.
